Date Night. What does it mean to you? Movie? Drinks? Naps? (ha.) A night on the
town? There is certainly no right or wrong way to have “date night,” it is whatever you make of it! Frequently, date night involves my daughter too! But, lets say you have that sitter for the night, or for a few hours. What would you do? Where would you go? I am sharing my favorite choices to make the most out of your date night, these are the places I have personally went to and had a really good experience. I like my date nights to have dinner and drinks, that’s just me. Of course, all of these opinions are my own. I also know there are many more great choices around here, we are lucky to live in such an area with so many incredible options.
Ward’s House of Prime

Exceptional. Ward’s is a newer edition to the lake country area, right in the heart of downtown Delafield. We are so blessed to have this. The ambiance, the staff, fine quality meat, incredible choices and extensive drink menu. It has a great bar in the lower level, while you wait you can enjoy a drink and an appetizer. We have been to Ward’s many times, and each time it’s new exerience! In the summertime you can sit outside, and enjoy dinner and drinks. In the colder weather, it’s nice and toasty indoors, with such a cozy feel. Ward’s especially does a beautiful job with holiday lighting outdoors as the holidays approach, one of my favorite memories of them.

Splash Martini Bar is a little hotspot in Oconomowoc. It’s swanky, yet comfortable. Martinis are certainly their thing! What really impresses is me is their fresh made in -house fruit purees for quite a few speciality martinis. They also have the classics, low-calorie, dessert martinis and more! Splash also offers exotic drinks on the rocks, wine, beer and some appetizers! They also have live music on occassion and offer daily and weekly specials. It’s the place you go to when you want to feel like you are getting away, yet you are still right in Oconomowoc. It’s the perfect place to talk over a few drinks, listen to live music and enjoy each other’s company.
Burke’s Lakeside

Burke’s Lakeside has been going for a few years strong. They are constantly reinventing themselves. They are located right across from Silver Lake with breathtaking views, especially when you can sit on their wrap around deck and enjoy the outdoor bar. Their menu really is great with a wide selection of choices. From American classics, world cuisine items, regional American foods,and of course, the classic Friday hand battered Fish Fry are favorites of many. This is the place where you want to go to have a good meal and have fun at the same time. They have huge bar with a very large selection of tap beers featuring local craft beers from Wisconsin. They also have fun drink menus and an impressive selection of Irish whiskey. Burke’s offers daily and weekly specials, and has live music every weekend. You will likely walk into Burke’s and know someone!
Palmer’s Steakhouse

Palmer’s steakhouse is located in the historic Cobblestone Inn in downtown Hartland. They specialize in mouth-watering char broiled steaks, seafood, ribs and chops as well as an award-winning wine list of over 200 different selections. They are a family owned and operated restaurant with a cozy bar, with each experience they ensure it’s a memorable one.

The Butler Inn located in Pewaukee is certainly a family favorite of ours. It has an old school supper club feel mixed with elegance, yet it’s has a laid back atmosphere. It’s perfect for a date where you’d like to get all dressed up or go a bit more casual. When we go for date night we both enjoy the filet-to die for. It’s served supper club style. The staff is so friendly and really goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. The bar is a perfect spot to wait for a table or to have an after dinner drink.
