Because of its large number of lakes, the northwestern corner of Waukesha County is referred to as “Lake Country” by local residents. When people speak of lake country they often include Pewaukee, Delafield, Hartland, Merton, Nashotah, Chenequa, Okauchee Lake, Oconomowoc, Summit, and Lac La Belle. We are huge advocates of all things lake country, but we love our neighbors in all of southeastern WI-to Waukesha, to Milwaukee, to Wales and Genesee, to Mukwonago, to Stone Bank, to Johnson Creek, and all the way to Madison- just to name a few!
Where do we find all of the fun? Well, each city or town has their own great websites and social media sources to keep us all up-to-date. Many of them will list all of their parks, dining options, seasonal events, and fun things going on each week.
Here is a round up of all those great resources we use daily. We highly recommend you visit these sites and use them to your advantage, we are all about planning and making things easier! Whether you live there, been there or plan to visit!
