If you know anything about me I love creativity in any art form. Creating, dancing, acting, singing, being silly and most importantly using my imagination. Those are a lot of the reasons why I blog. Blogging is a creative outlet for me, and even better I get to connect with amazing people in our community.
When I was paired with Sudbrink Performance Academy, I was super excited! We are the perfect match. Seriously though, there really isn’t anything out there like them for your child! I invite you to read their story and learn more about what they have to offer. They are NOW ENROLLING for fall!
The Academy
Sudbrink Performance Academy strives to focus and enrich young performers. We teach students about the performing arts and help them become educated, well-rounded artists. We believe the experience has to be fun, engaging, and personal, to develop the drive that a performer needs to succeed.
Growth at Every Level…
We believe in giving all young performers opportunities – the beginner who needs a place to start, as well as the advanced performer who needs a challenge. By maintaining a by-audition-only policy for some of our offerings, advanced students are given the next level of experience they crave. Meanwhile, we offer our beginner students opportunities where they will develop individually or alongside their peers and become the advanced class of tomorrow.
At Sudbrink Performance Academy, we take our students under our wings and develop them with the guidance we would give our own children. Our students truly become part of our family.
We can’t wait to meet you!
The Sudbrinks: Their Story
Jacob is a working actor, conductor, performance coach, and music instructor. A Milwaukee High School of the Arts alumnus, Jacob played in the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra, and later coached MYSO String Orchestra and Sinfonia groups. Jacob has been music directing for theatres since 2002. He presently works with various Milwaukee-area theatres as a music director, pit conductor, and actor.
The Sudbrinks reside in Waukesha with their two young children, Kaleb and Caydence.
There’s something to be said about supporting a local, family-owned business. I’m sure there’s no argument there. {We at The Lake Country Mom value this idea so much!}
Beyond that, we pride ourselves on taking a comfortable yet professional approach, even in our youth programs. We have been told by students and parents that we are the only group to have challenged them, or to have taught them something new.
Our goal is not just to teach a theatre class like any other in town, but to truly engage the whole child – To teach them in a way that they fully understand concepts, ask questions, and make observations. We don’t want to simply teach and have material repeated back at us. We want to see growth from day one to the end, in each individual.
