About the movie:
The Brat Pack rides again in this classic teenage movie about five high school students — a brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess, and a criminal — who are forced to spend a Saturday together in detention. Unlikely friendships follow verbal sparring as their attitudes and perspectives change. As the old adage goes: You can’t always judge a book by its cover.
Must-see food scene: When the clock strikes lunch hour, the students whip out their drastically different brown-bag meals, further illustrating the contrasting lives they lead. Popular girl Claire (Molly Ringwald) delicately extracts her sushi bento box, complete with ceramic soy sauce server, while oddball loner Allison (Ally Sheedy) eagerly assembles her lunch: Anyone for a Pixy Stix and Cap’N Crunch sandwich?

We love you, Lake Country!
