Peck & Bushel Fruit Company loves fruit. Their orchard contains over 10,000 dwarf apple trees grown on a trellis system much like a vineyard. These smaller trees make the fruit easier to grow and harvest. At the orchard they plant flowers and shrubs that attract pollinators to enhance the natural fruit tree. This helps to promote a healthy, balanced ecosystem, which is the best pest control. They only grow fruit that is certified organic. They choose natural methods of fruit production to enure a healthy eating experience.

Whether you’re continuing a family tradition or starting a new one this fall, The Elegant Farmer offers a family fun apple and pumpkin pickin’ farm experience at its popular Autumn Harvest Festival weekends only (Saturdays & Sundays) September 6 – October 26. Welcomed by the famous Smilin’ Barn, kids get a chance to head to the orchard and pick apples right from the trees or head to the farm’s pumpkin patch to select pumpkins of all shapes and sizes.

The Apple Barn is a unique country store at the orchard that is housed in a remodeled barn. Here, visitors will find a variety of fresh-picked and pick-your-own apples, apple pies, apple cider, cider donuts, caramel apples, pumpkins, and an extensive selection of unique gifts. In June, homegrown strawberries are available and in the fall there is a tree maze and tractor-train ride through the orchard. Fall is a perfect opportunity for visitors to sample the many varieties of apples while enjoying a crisp autumn getaway. In fact, every weekend is an adventure waiting to be savored at The Apple Barn. During National Apple Month, the Jacobsons will celebrate with the Annual “Apple Fest” the last weekend of September.
