There is something truly unique to the lake country area. Right in the heart of it-at Nixon Park in Hartland. Thank-you to The Lake Country Rotary and endless sponsors Nixon Park in Hartland has it’s very own splash pad! What is a splash pad, you ask? Well it’s the first of its kind in Waukesha County. The splash pad provides a safe “zero-depth” water play area with various water features that spray, dump and squirt. There is not a need for lifeguards as there is virtually no drowning risk. It is colorful, with a fun theme featuring tall green leaves that spray, frogs that squirt, a big circular frog head to run through, colorful dump buckets, and countless fountains and sprayers that come up from the concrete slab. The splash pad is surrounded by newly constructed pavillions and picnic tables, which provide rest, shade, and a place to eat!
The Lake Country Mom Approves!
The Lake Country Rotary Splash Pad is a great place to bring kids of any age, I have even seen moms, dads, grandparents, babysitters get in on the fun (myself included) and cool off! It is a wonderful and unique place to have birthday party. It’s free, it has picnic tables, and lots of space. I have seen a few parties be held there already, and I thought what a great idea! It is a summer birthday paradise. Also on weekend locally owned Endter’s Sports Pub & Grill run the concessions at Nixon Park and feature refreshments, snacks, candy, hotdogs & more-very affordably priced as well.
