Petite Pas Ballet is just overwhelmed with joy to be celebrating our 2nd Birthday and to be starting our 3rd Academic Year in September. Our studio has grown leaps and bounds over the last two years and we are most thankful for the families who made the choice to join our studio (among so many out there) and to grow with our ballet family!
We are proud of all the things that make us unique and the first to bring this storybook ballet approach to the metro-Milwaukee area! For starters our storybook approach to teaching age-appropriate classical ballet technique (and terminology) sets us apart. This approach allows us to truly create a well-rounded student by developing their technique and creating a true lover of this art form. Our storybook themes are not just a theme picked out of a child’s favorite book or geared toward girls only , in fact, our storybook themes are inspired by some of the most famous (and even some of the not so popular yet equally amazing) ballets that have been performed on famous stages all over the world. The classics we feature during the Academic Year are a part of this art form’s history and each child will learn about the story, choreographer and composer for these ballets. In addition, we only use the music that has been scored for those ballets in class each and every week to ensure that the experience is exactly as we designed it to be. We also use props and learning visuals to ensure that our students receive a well-rounded ballet education – and of course – because using props and exploring stories is oh, so much fun!
Our unique curriculum is written with careful consideration to a child’s developmental milestones at all ages by our Ballet Mistress who also holds higher-education degrees in early childhood education. We know, respect and understand the mind/body connection in children of the ages we serve and ensure that they are always safe and that everything is age-appropriate. We take our knowledge and experience and through our dance classes’ help create a solid foundation so that our students can grow and flourish as they progress through our program.
We are growing quickly and have recently added a handful of additional classes to our 2016|2017 Academic Year schedule to accommodate our waitlists. We look forward to welcoming so many new faces joining our ballet family and look forward to a year full of magical storybook ballet themes, tippie toe mastery and creating a group of well-trained classical ballet boys and girls.
Classes are filling up! So don’t wait any longer to sign up your little dancer for classes today! We begin our classical ballet training with our Petite Tot Division (ages 24months – 3 years/parent or caregiver participation class) all the way to our Ballet 1 Division dancers (ages 8-11) for our more advanced students. If you are unsure which division to register your little dancer for, please contact Valerie at info@petitepasballet.com and she can assist you in choosing the best class for your little dancer.

We WILL open up classes if we have enough students on the waitlist! And, if an opening does come available, students on the waitlist will automatically be eligible to take that spot!
