Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe
Every single year I yearn for Starbucks to come out with their Pumpkin Spice Latte. When it comes to about August, there are cooler nights and it starts me thinking about fall. I just cannot wait. So last year I scoured the internet for a recipe to make my own pumpkin spice latte. It was really simple, and so delightfully creamy and inexpensive too! So here is the pumpkin spice latte recipe:
Ingredients needed:
Skim Milk (half gallon)
Vanilla- 2 T
Pumpkin Spice (Seasoning)-to taste and sprinkle
Cinnamon- to taste and sprinkle
1-16 ounce can Libby’s Pumpkin Puree
Espresso (or coffee if you don’t have an espresso machine)
Whipped Cream (to top off)
(Makes 2-3 lattes, depending on your mug size)
Boil half of gallon of milk. Add 3/4 can of Libby’s Pumpkin Puree. Boil.
Add cinnamon and pumpkin spice to your liking. I used about 5-6 shakes of pumpkin spice, and 2-3 shakes of cinnamon. Add 2 T vanilla. Continue to boil and stir. Turn down to a simmer. Let simmer for about 10 minutes.
Pur mixture in coffee mug.
Add 2 shots of espresso or coffee to your mug. Top off with whipped cream, sprinkle with cinnamon and pumpkin spice.
Enjoy and smile-you will pretend it’s fall and save some money making your own pumpkin spice lattes. Let me know how you like it!
*Tip* Add sugar to sweeten if you’d like.
