We’re having a heat wave, a tropical heat wave! I guess we are ending summer with a bang-which is fine by me. It looks like there is some rain and thunderstorms in the forecast, but nonetheless it will be HOT! So, what better way to enjoy it, than to play in the water? In this post I am only going to include what is in the lake country area. (If you are looking for surrounding areas you can read this beach post here.)

Heat Wave Hits our Area! COOL DOWN with our help!

 

1. Lake Country Rotary Splash Pad. Located at Nixon Park in Hartland. Open through Labor Day from 10am-7pm. Provides water fountains and sprayers, interactive play elements, with a zero-depth water play area. Endter’s Sports Grill provides concessions on the weekends at the park.  More info click here. 2. Pewaukee Beach/Lakefront Park. 222 W. Wisconsin Ave, Pewaukee. Open daily, with lifeguards on duty 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. FREE admission.

3. Country Springs Hotel.  2810 Golf Rd, Pewaukee. The Springs indoor water park with more than 45,000 sq feet of year-round indoor water park fun! Day passes available. For more info on pricing and hours, click here.

4. Olympia Resort’s Outdoor & Indoor Pool: 1350 Royale Mile Rd, Oconomowoc. Outdoor pool open through Labor Day, Sun-Th 9am-8pm, Fri & Sat 9am-10pm. Weekdays: Adults $7, Kids $5. Weekends: Adults $10 (includes full spa access), Kids $7. Indoor Pool open all year long. Sun-Th 7am-8pm, Fri & Sat 6am-11pm. Adults $10 (includes full spa access) or $5 (without spa access) and Kids $5. Click here for more info.

5. Ottawa Lake/Beach: S59 W36530 County ZZ, Dousman. 17 acre lake. Open though Labor Day.  You can swim between 6am-11pm. Lifeguards are not provided. Car: $7 daily or  annually $25. For more info click here.

6. City Beach. Access from W. Wisconsin Ave in downtown Oconomowoc. Located on the southern shore of Lac La Belle. You can swim from 10am-8:00pm though Labor Day weekend. Admission: $2 per person for resident, $4 per person non-resident. Children 6 and under FREE with paid adult. Click here for more info.
